COLLEGE CANTEEN

College extends canteen facility to the students and staff. It serves snacks, soft drinks, meals etc. The items are given at subsidised rate to the Staff and Students. A canteen committee, appointed by the Principal, is monitoring the regular activities of the canteen.

COLLEGE BUS

In order to cater to the travelling needs of the staff and students, college bus facility is made available. Currently we have five bus routes. They operate between Kothamangalam, Ernakulam, Kolenchery, Vaikom and Thiruvankulam. These services are given in a no profit - no loss basis, extending substantial reduction in fare to the student community.

ST. GREGORIOS CHAPEL

A beautiful chapel has been constructed adjacent to the college building on the Baselios Mount under the able leadership of the management and the former Principal Prof. Capt. A.P. Eldho. The foundation stone of the chapel was laid by H.B. Baselios Thomas I, Catholicos of India on 23rd July, 2004 in the presence of H.G. Joseph Mor Gregorios Metropolitan, the College Manager and Secretary to the Holy Synod and the late Sri.T.M. Jacob, the then Member of Legislative Assembly. The Chapel was consecrated by H.B. Baselios Thomas I, the Chairman of the Education Trust and H.G. Joseph Mor Gregorios Metropolitan on 5th April 2005. Morning worship is being conducted at 9:30 am on all Tuesdays and Thursdays. Every last Friday in every month Holy Qurbana is offered.

MOTHER TERESA WOMEN’S HOSTEL

College offers hostel facilities to girl students. Students from different parts of the state/country make use of this facility. The general administration of the college hostel is co-ordinated by Reverent Sisters. The hostel committee looks after the hostel mess which functions on dividing system. Hostel Advisory Board, with the Principal as the Chairman, monitors the regular activities of the hostel. Principal is the chief warden of the hostel.

CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY

A co-operative society (Reg.No.E 1133) is functioning for the general welfare of the staff and student community of the College. The general administration of the society is managed by an enthusiastic group comprising of teaching, non-teaching, staff & student representatives. The general body of the society includes A-class (members on the staff) and B-class (students) share holders. The society aims

a. to inculcate a sense of co-operation and self reliance.

b. to start investment schemes which can be utilized for extending financial assistance to the members in need.

c. to help the members in getting good quality educational materials at reduced rate.

Volley Ball Academy

Baselious Poulose college in a joint endeavour with Pratheeksha foundation launches a Volley ball academy to reclaim the lost glory of the game in piravom area. The academy aims to be the best in the arena for spotting and nurturing upcoming players in the state.The academy will provide advanced technical training in the game in addition to institutional facilities of free education and boarding for the students.The timely joint enterprise of the college management and Pratheeksha foundation led by Commander Robin Narekat will infuse a wave of fresh air in to the sporting arena of the locality” said principal Dr.Tiji Zachariah.

Eldho Mar Baselios Library

The Eldho Mar Baselios Library started functioning ever since the inception of the college. The Library has a collection of more than 22137 volumes covering a wide range of topics like Culture, Religion, Literature, Science and Technology. Besides, there is a good number of journals and periodicals subscribed. The Library was automated in 2005 with Libsoft. The software makes the book issues, return, renewal and book searching (Computer Catalogue) more easy. Bar coded Identity Cards are issued to all staff members and students. The subscription to INFLIBNET-NLIST, provides easy access to 80,000 e-books and 3000 e-Journals. Gate Register and Web-opac (Online Catalogue) are also installed in the library to provide state-of the art facilities. Dr. Geevarghese Mor Gregorios Library

Dr. Geevarghese Mor Gregorios Library was started in the year 2001 by the Electronics Association as a separate centre for technical books and learning aids. This library has over 500 volumes and is managed by the students under the guidance of teachers. The centre is named after H.G. Geevarghese Mor Gregorios, former chairman of the Education Trust.

John Von Neumann Library

John Von Neumann library was started in the year 2009 by the Department of Computer Application. It contains books under Computer Science as well as the general disciplines like Mathematics, Statistics etc. The Library has over 100 volumes and is managed by Ms. Leeja Mathew & Ms. Reena Paul. The library works in the same manner as the general library

Henry Fayol Library

Henry Fayol Library is a venture launched by the Business Administration Association (Ebullience). Started in 2007, this library has a collection of more than 500 volumes and is managed by the faculty member, Mr. Tharthiose Paul. Hentry Fayol Library consists of an impressive collection of books in management and related disciplines.

Venue

Baselios Poulose II Catholicos College Research Cell, in association with all the departments launches a research Journal The Prescient. It is a thinking space for the BPC academic community and is conceptualised as an arterial route for furthering knowledge production transnationally.
