The N.S.S. Unit of the College was started in the academic year 1996. It is intended to arouse the social consciousness of student community by training them to be useful to the society, making them more creative. The N.S.S. aims at this through community service. Membership in N.S.S. is voluntary and is strictly on selective basis. Those who complete 240 hours of work in 2 years are entitled to a certificate issued by the University and it will be treated as an additional qualification in recruitments to public service. Besides, they are eligible to get grace marks and weightage of marks for pursuing higher studies.
